LCST Academy is proud to announce the participation of its President, Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy, in a regional workshop held in Cairo, Egypt. The workshop, organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in collaboration with the Egyptian Public Prosecution Office, focused on enhancing legal and operational frameworks to counter and prevent the threats posed by Foreign Terrorist Fighters (FTFs) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.Dr. El-Guindy attended the workshop as a UNODC consultant and Advisor to the Egyptian Public Prosecution Office, contributing his expertise in cybersecurity and legal frameworks. His insights were instrumental in addressing the complexities of digital evidence and cross-border legal cooperation in the fight against terrorism.The workshop brought together senior law enforcement and criminal justice officials from nine MENA countries: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Yemen. Key topics of discussion included:<ol><li>Legal and operational tools for extradition and Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA)</li><li>Use of digital evidence and cross-border case-building</li><li>Regional judicial cooperation and information-sharing mechanisms</li></ol>This initiative underscores LCST's commitment to fostering international collaboration and strengthening legal frameworks to effectively address the evolving challenges of terrorism and cybercrime
