LCST Academy is pleased to announce that our President, Dr. Mohamed El-Guindy (senior cybercrime and cybersecurity consultant UNODC) proudly delivered specialized training in Lebanon to Law Enforcement officers from the Financial Crime and Money Laundering Bureau.The training took place at the Internal Security Forces Academy, where 12 ISF officers and personnel, along with 2 investigation judges from the Public Prosecution Office/Ministry of Justice, participated in an intensive program organized in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).The program focused on tracking illicit financial flows using advanced techniques, including:🕸️ Web search📊 Metadata analysis📲 Social media investigationsThis initiative equips officers to transform open-source intelligence into actionable evidence, enhancing Lebanon’s capacity to investigate and combat financial crime. The program was supported by the Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.Dr. El-Guindy highlighted the critical importance of strengthening digital investigation skills among Law Enforcement personnel, emphasizing that such programs are essential for fostering accountability, transparency, and effectiveness in financial crime investigations.
